Original Dank Boy Designs
The Dank Boy Collective’s origins began in our founder’s senior year of high school. After years of watching people follow trends and chase brands, Marquel decided that he was done conforming to the tastes of his peers and society at large. He realized that he had at times been buying clothes simply for the name whether he liked the product or not. In a truly enlightening decision, he chose to blaze his path instead.
Representing New Age Cannabis
In a reversal of the norm he was witnessing in his youth, Marquel wanted to make clothing that people would buy for what it was and what it represented. For the designs and style rather than the clout attached to a name sewn and seamed. This desire to make his dreams and art into a reality propelled him to dig deep and look within after graduating school.
Digging Deep Into Art & Passion
Marquel began working at a smoke shop after finishing school. While working that job he dove deeper not only into learning about the cannabis community but himself as well. He began to ask the real questions. What do I want my brand to look like? How will I incorporate my pieces into this work? How will I make this dream a reality? All of the questions that anyone of an ambitious nature is familiar with. As his experience and connections grew, he received an opportunity which would prove a vital next step in his rise to the top.
Building a Community Through Cannabis
Through connections made at the head shop Marquel landed a job doing sales in the great state of Maine. Specifically for a marijuana concentrate extraction company. As he grew in both skill and experience both in his art and his craft he made even more connections in the industry and the state at large. These connections lead him to learn more about how he could run his business, and how the ins and outs of the industry worked. It was through this knowledge and time in his life that he saw his opportunity to break the mold and go his way. To bring his art and custom clothing ideas therein to the masses. His dedication to not only creating original and quality products, but also ensuring that his customers receive only the best in both service and merchandise shines through to this day.
Today’s Endeavors for Dank Boy
In the here and now, Dank Boy Cannabis has grown from humble beginnings and one visionary man’s dream into what it is today. A place for not only original art and clothing, but also some of the highest quality marijuana bud, concentrates, and edibles in the entire state. With stellar customer service and convenient delivery services that span central Maine. As well as a place where we believe in the importance of community, the arts, and freedom to create and express yourself just as Marquel did. His story is living proof that with a dream and hard work you can achieve whatever you put your mind, heart, and soul to.
